Linda MacArthur

Linda (Sharpe) MacArthur, 64, of Acworth, Georgia transition to an enteral life Monday, April 12, 2021.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (535 Rucker Road, Alpharetta, Georgia) on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 1pm. All guest are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

Linda was born on January 12, 1957 in Alexander City, Alabama, the daughter of Carl and Edna Mae (Epperson) Sharpe. Linda attended Auburn University and Cole Business School. She worked in the textile industry as a very well respected executive for many years before leaving to join her husband in starting and running a successful business together for the last 21 years.
On June 30, 1996, Linda married Daniel P. MacArthur. For the last 24 years, Linda and Dan built a wonderful life together.

Linda enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, reading, and genealogy. Linda developed an uncanny knack for genealogy research. She also possessed a very talented green thumb that resulted in providing many fresh vegetables and fruits for her friends and family over the years. Linda was a very kind hearted person that would help anyone that asked. She exemplified the phrase, “always do the right thing, even when it’s hard.” Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew, loved and counted on her.

Linda is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Daniel MacArthur and his five children; her two children, Eric Estes of Birmingham, Alabama and Meghan (Matthew) Knott of Canton, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Angel, Caleb, Aiden, and Kelsi Estes and Logan and Kennedy Knott; two brothers, Johnny Sharpe and Tim Traylor; two sisters, Mischelle
Woodruff and Melissa Rae McManus as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Those funds will be donated to a cause to be determined later. Memorial donations can be sent directly to the family at 7223 Galts Ferry Road, Acworth, Georgia 30102.
