Lamont (Doc) Hyatt

Lamont (Doc) Hyatt, 60, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Northside Hospital in Canton. He was married to Katherine (Kathy) Janicek Hyatt and they recently celebrated their 31st Wedding Anniversary in February

He was born on October 8, 1964, a son of the late Floyd and Myzldia (Odom) Hyatt. 

He attended the Culinary Institute of America in Highland Park, New York 1990 then went on to graduate from Carver State Technical College of Mobile, Alabama in 1991. He was a Chef at The Country Club of Mobile, Alabama. He was a United States Army Veteran through 1990. He enjoyed fishing and loved sports and was a major University of Alabama fan as well as the New Orleans Saints. He was a big Wrestling fan and had a chance to meet many Wrestlers including the "Undertaker"

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Eliana Talise Hyatt; two brothers, Len and Lee Hyatt as well as two sister's Elizabeth Garraway and Eunice Hyatt. 

He was predeceased by a baby brother, Frank Lester Hyatt and a brother Lane Hyatt.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Macedonia Memorial Park Memorial Park, 10655 E. Cherokee Drive, Canton, Georgia 30115 at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society or any Animal Rescuing Organization as well as to The Wounded Warrior Project.
