Yvonne Turner Hawkinberry Preston, 69, of Canton, GA, passed away on September 25, 2024, surrounded by loving family. Yvonne was born March 2, 1955, in Rivesville, WV. Yvonne graduated from Rivesville High School in 1973 as the valedictorian. Yvonne married Dennis Lee Preston on March 5, 1973 in Fairmont, WV. They were married for almost 45 years before Dennis passed on January 29, 2018. They have two children, Holly and Dennis, and four grandchildren, Lucienne, Caylee, Nevin, and Beckett. Yvonne and Dennis loved their families, their fur babies, football, and everything West Virginia. Yvonne worked as a Deli and Bakery Manager at Kroger for 40 years before she retired to take care of her husband. Yvonne especially loved spending time with her family, playing cards and spending time with her friends. She also loved reading crime/murder novels mostly by James Patterson. If you knew Yvonne, you know that she loved teaching Lucienne and Caylee how to cook and bake. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She loved gardening and putting out feed for the birds and deer. Remaining to cherish Yvonnes memory are children, Holly Preston, Dennis (Hannah) Preston; grandchildren, Lucienne, Caylee, Nevin, Beckett; sister-in-law, Penni (Gary) Cochran. Preceding Yvonne in death are spouse, Dennis Lee Preston; parents, Raymond and Mary Rose Hawkinberry. Memorial Services will be held Oct 13, 2024, at 2:00PM at Canton Funeral Home with Joaquin Gonzalez officiating. Memorial donations in Yvonnes memory may be directed to National Kidney Foundation or Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue.
