David "Wayne" Welchel, 48, passed away on June 9, 2022, in Cumming, GA. Mr Welchel was a life long resident of Cherokee Co. He graduated High School at Cherokee HS. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things of life, such as hunting, fishing and family. Wayne is survived by his parents David and Bonnie Welchel as well as his girlfriend of many years, Amy Vaughn. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10 at Canton Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. The funeral service for Mr. David Welchel will be held on Saturday, June 11 in the chapel of Canton Funeral Home at 3:00 pm with burial immediately following the service.
