Mrs. Sarah Allen Peterson died at the age of 85 on May 29, 2021, at her home in Canton, Ga. Mrs. Peterson was born on July 21, 1935 in East Point, GA. Sarah attended Russel High School and was voted most likely to succeed and she did succeed in what mattered most: her relationship with God, family and friends. She loved God with all her heart, soul and might. She succeeded in loving and serving her family and friends well. Throughout her life, many commented that she was one of, if not, the sweetest people they had ever met. She married Ray Malcolm Peterson in 1959. She served God faithfully in the churches she was privileged to be a part of including East Point First Baptist, Hollydale United Methodist, and Birmingham United Methodist. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ray; daughter, Karen; her son, Kevin; daughter-in-law, Cindy; grandchildren, Lindsay, Christian and Braden and many other dear family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at Canton Funeral home on Saturday, June 5 at 1 with visitation at 11 a.m. where the family will celebrate a life well lived and one of those of whom the world was not worthy.
