IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Edmund
Hermann
July 24, 1937 – December 11, 2025
Robert (Bob) Edmund Hermann, 88, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away December 11th, 2025. Bob
was born July 24, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Arthur and Hazel Hermann. Bob enjoyed his childhood
years in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, and Grampa. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Linda
Hermann, and his children: Mark (Tammy) Hermann, George (Becky) Hermann, Joe (Suzette)
Hermann, Arthur Hermann, Mary (Dennis) Hutchinson, Robert W. (Nuria) Hermann, Cathy (Jeff)
Tucker, 20 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Charlotte Grewe. He was preceded in
death by his parents, daughter Anne Marie Hermann Beckham, and his siblings, Ed Hermann, Ruth
Van Orden, Arthur W. Hermann, Vernon Hermann, Shirley Groenland, Dick Hermann, Elaine
Williams, and Bill Hermann. He loved and cherished family.
Bob's career in Maintenance and Engineering led him from Chicago to Texas and then to Atlanta
where he served as head at Omni International. He shared those skills with the church as head of
maintenance for about 10 years before finally "retiring".
As a gifted woodworker, Bob assisted many through his talents and servant-heart. Everyone knew
Bob as the handiest of handymen because he could make or fix just about anything and was always
willing to lend a helping hand. He was the kind of man who showed his love through action and
presence. He enjoyed the outdoors and was happiest when spending time with family. In the 70's he
served as Scout Master of Troup 1 and was inducted into Order of the Arrow at Camp Wisdom in
Duncanville, Texas. Bob was also known for his grilling skills and for his famous Christmas fudge, a
tradition loved by all who were lucky enough to taste it.
Bob leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship, kindness, and unwavering dedication to the people he
loved. His family will forever carry his stories, his lessons, and the warmth of his steady presence. He
will be deeply missed.
