Richard P. Shields, 79 of Ball Ground passed away on August 24, 2019 at Northside Cherokee Hospital. Originally from Queens NY was a retired IT Consultant. He was predeceased by his parents George and Sadie Shields and a brother George and a sister Connie. He is survived by his wife Barbara and 2 daughters Christa Maguire and Ashley Williamson. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Canton Funeral Home is honored to serve the Shields family.
