Peyton was a deeply kind soul with an instinctive soft spot for anyone who couldn’t help themselves. He carried a natural empathy that stayed with him throughout his life. From a young age, he was fearless and stubborn, happiest on the basketball court or watching the game on TV. His humor was dry and a little sarcastic, but it was his way of connecting with the people around him. As a child, he was full of life, joyful, dedicated to sports, and always striving to be the best player on the team.

As he grew older, Peyton faced a disease that affected both his body and mind, a daily battle that grew heavier with time. In his final week, Peyton sought to share the depth of his struggles through the story of Beautiful Boy, hoping to bring understanding and peace to those who loved him. Even through his battle, he remained a big presence to those who knew him, someone who wanted more out of life, whose heart was larger than his circumstances.

This year, Peyton found peace in relationships that had once been strained, and he recently celebrated his birthday surrounded by family whose company brought him genuine happiness. In the final months of his life, he shared quiet moments of kindness with those close to him, moments that reflected the gentle core of who he truly was.

On July 2nd, Peyton’s long fight came to an end. He is now at peace, with the universe at his reach. He has gone home, where he will watch over all who love him so deeply.
