Linda M Lummus

July 21, 1949 — May 24, 2023

Sanger Tx

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda M. Lummus announce her passing. She
transitioned from this earth to her heavenly body on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at the
age of 73.

Linda was born to Raleigh Aaron Morgan and Hazel Mize on July 21, 1949 in Atlanta
Georgia. She grew up in Canton, GA where she met her high school sweetheart while attending
Cherokee High School. On June 01, 1967, one day after her high school graduation
she married Jerry Lummus. Almost 56 years later they were still very much in love and
inseparable. They had a fairytale romance as beautiful as anyone could imagine. She
will forever be his life.

Linda is survived by her son Clint, his wife Michelle, and their daughter Chloe. Clint was
her world and she loved him with all her being. Michelle was the daughter that she
never had. She loved her and was so happy for all she has done for our family. Then
came Chloe, the wind beneath her wings. “Nana” loved Chloe with all her heart and
could be found on the sidelines cheering at all her sporting events, or in the audience
for musical performances. No matter what or where, Nana was always there. They had
a very special bond that will be cherished forever.

Her career spanned over 40 years and after she retired in 2008, Jerry and Linda moved
from Georgia to Texas to be close to Clint, Michelle, and Chloe. She enjoyed the simple
life that we all strive for with Jerry, her family, and friends.

Selfishly our hearts will never heal from the loss of a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Our only comfort is knowing that she is forever surrounded in Heaven by all of her
family and friends she so deeply missed. She left a void that will never be filled.

Surviving family members include: (Father) Raleigh Aaron Morgan, (Step Brother &
Family) Raleigh, Kathy, Justin Morgan & Jessica Morgan-Rowe, (Mother in Law) Mamie
Lummus, (Brother in Law) Jack Lummus, (Brother & Sister in Law & Family) James,
Mattie Laura, Chet, & Cliff Lummus, and (Sister in Law) Judy Bruce.

A Funeral service will be held at 1pm on June 7, 2023 at Canton Funeral Home and
Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park 10655 East Cherokee Drive. Canton, Georgia
30115. A Celebration of life will also be held at a later date in Sanger, Texas.
