Lee Dickey Lenz was born to Theodore and Helen Shaid on March 19, 1940 in Elkins, West Virginia where she spent much of her childhood. She loved to dance and performed in the Elkins Apple Blossom Festival, but her fondest childhood memories included the time she spent in Guam where her father was stationed for several years. After graduating Washington and Lee High School in 1957, Lee studied at the University of Mary Washington for a year. She married A. Kent Dickey in May of 1959 and went on to have two children, James Dickey and Kara Dickey. Lee enjoyed spending time with her children and never missed one of Karas choir performances or horse shows. Lee married Charles Lenz in April 2000. After retiremen tLee enjoyed traveling and searching for unique home furnishing that gave her home a personal flair. Lee was preceded in death by her first husband Kent Dickey and son James Dickey and is survived by husband Chuck Lenz and daughter Kara Dickey.
