Larry C Roper

Larry Cleveland Roper 73, of Canton, Georgia passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026. Larry was born on March 24, 1953 in Woodstock, Georgia to Harley and Pauline Roper. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather/great-grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed camping, trout fishing, woodworking, and playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was exceptionally kind, friendly, hardworking, and full of life. Larry is survived by his wife Janice Roper; his children Tina Shull and Traci Lingefelt (Shane); his grandchildren Chris Shull (Lacie), Katie Shuemake (Ricardo), Michael Lingefelt (Sara), and Colton Lingefelt; his great-grandchildren Shane and Walker Shuemake and Stephanie Shull, with Paisley Lingefelt and Charlie Shuemake arriving soon; his sister Hazal Christene Evans; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Harley and Pauline Roper and his brother Frank Roper. A celebration of life will be held at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park located at 10655 East Cherokee DR. Canton, GA 30115. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17th from noon until 8pm and on Tuesday August 18th from 10am to 11, with service starting at 11 until noon. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice or donate blood to the local Red Cross.
