Obituary

Larry E. Howard, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 27, 2025. A man of deep compassion, boundless curiosity, and quiet strength, Larry lived a life devoted to service, adventure, and connection.

Born with a heart for helping others, Larry began his medical career as a Respiratory Therapist before returning to school to become a Physician's Assistant. He later earned a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, further deepening his commitment to improving lives through medicine. His career was marked not only by professional excellence but by a genuine desire to uplift those around him—whether patients, colleagues, or strangers he met along the way.

Larry's spirit of service extended far beyond borders. In the 1970s, he traveled to India twice with the Peace Corps, and in the 1990s, he joined a People to People medical delegation to China. These journeys reflected his belief in global compassion and the power of human connection.

Outside of work, Larry found joy in building with wood, listening to classic rock, teaching and practicing yoga, and escaping to the beach. He was a man who could find peace in the rhythm of waves and meaning in a conversation with a stranger. His warmth and sense of humor touched countless lives, often in quiet, unexpected ways.

Larry also embraced another passion—writing. He published a book of poetry titled Seed, Breath, and Spirit, a heartfelt collection that explored themes of nature, healing, and the sacredness of everyday life. Through his words, Larry offered the same comfort and insight that he brought to those around him, leaving behind a literary legacy that continues to inspire.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Patti, and his beloved children, Ryan and Lauren. His legacy lives on in the kindness he showed, the stories he shared, and the lives he changed.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his wife and children. We miss you already, Superman.
