Kyle Jay Oliver began his life July 2, 1962, in Macon, GA. His family moved several times during his
childhood – Savannah, Charlotte, Corpus Christi, Houston and finally Chattanooga where Kyle graduated
high school. Kyle attended Middle Tennessee State University. In 1986 he moved to the suburbs north
of Atlanta where he has remained, working in real estate for many years.

Health and physical fitness was very important to Kyle and was a lifelong commitment. Eventually he
became a certified Personal Trainer, helping many achieve their fitness goals.

In 2004 Kyle met Teresa in Atlanta at Smith’s Olde Bar. They were both there to see Roger Clyne and the
Peacemakers. They were together ever since and made it official on April 2, 2013.
Kyle loved the outdoors and hiking. He and Teresa went on many mountain hiking day trips together. In
2010, Kyle hiked the Georgia section of the Appalachian Trail and 2 years later he completed the North
Carolina section.

Kyle was an avid Tennessee Volunteers football fan. Over the years attending many games in Knoxville
was greatly anticipated and enjoyed. His enthusiasm was so contagious that he even convinced Teresa
to wear orange proudly.

After receiving the devastating ALS diagnosis Kyle and Teresa decided to take a cross country adventure.
In June 2019 he and Teresa rented an RV and headed west for a month long bucket list trip. They drove
8,768 miles through 21 states in 32 days.

Kyle was a loving husband, son and brother. A loyal friend who could always make you laugh with his
dry sense of humor and at times, roguish behavior. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved
him.

Kyle is survived by his wife Teresa; mother Pepper Anderson; brother and sister-in-law Keven and
Esmeralda Oliver; nieces Ava and Lila Grace Oliver; and uncle William Oliver. He is preceded in death by
his father Robert Oliver; aunt Kathryn Blanks; and uncle Bobby Anderson.

Graveside services for Kyle will be held on Friday March 10, 2023 at 2:00pm preceded by a gathering of family and friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm, All at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to the Team Gleason Foundation.
