Keith Patrick Allen

Keith Patrick Allen, 77, Affectionately known as "KP" passed away April 26, 2026 in Canton, Ga following a courageous 12 year battle with cancer.

Born on Feb 22, 1949, Buford, Ga , He was the son of the late William John "BILL" and Bett Pierce Allen and is preceded in death by brother, Victor H. Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Courtney Ashworth Allen, brother, Michael Rece Allen, of Chattanooga TN , many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends and loved ones he has collected for decades.

He was educated at Towns County High School, Hiawassee, Ga, The Baylor School, Chattanooga, Tn , Truett-McConnell College and Georgia State University. He spent his youth as a lifeguard at various North Georgia State Parks. He attained the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. He was a young entrepreneur and successful businessman and owner of Atlanta Luggage Repair & Leather Specialities, Roswell, Ga.

 He was a member of the Organizing Committee of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.He and his company were commissioned to make several props for motion pictures including the famous leather journal of John Dunbar ( Kevin Costner) from"Dances with Wolves and the vintage baseball gloves for the Movie "Cobb" (Tommy Lee Jones). Golfing every year in Scotland, Ireland, England and the Caribbean, he also played the finest of courses across the country. 

 He loved supporting Courtney on her many American Saddlebred 5 gaited Horse Show trips from Chastain Park to Lexington and Louisville, Ky, Keith and Courtney loved their horses and their But, most of all, Keith cherished the young people in his life, especially his many nephews and nieces and many Grand nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at home at a later date.
