June Dowdy Hamrick

June was born in Atlanta, Ga on September 10, 1953 to Leon and Gertrue Dowdy.

June spent 34 years at the Georgia Department of Audits, retiring as Deputy

Director. After retirement, June enjoyed crafting and time with the people she loved

most. She will be remembered as a loving spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, and

friend whose presence touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Gertrue, and her brother,

Forest. The family takes comfort in knowing June is reunited with loved ones who

passed before.

She is survived by her spouse, Robert; children Marshall, Tammy (Jeff), and

Jennifer (Rodney); grandchildren; and her siblings. June leaves behind a family who

will carry forward a legacy of love, faith, and strength.

Visitation will be held on May 13 from 1-3 PM at Canton Funeral Home. A

graveside service will immediately follow.
