David Pearce

Jonathan David Pearce, lovingly known as David, went home to be with His Lord on March 15, 2026, at the age of 59.

David was born on February 13, 1967, in Marietta, Georgia. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose life was marked by love, strength, and faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Pearce; his cherished daughters, Hannah Pearce and Heather Pearce; his parents, Iris Saulsgiver (Doug) and Bobby Pearce; his brother, Marcus Pearce (Nancy); and his sisters, Kimberly Mangum and Karen Saulsgiver; He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

David will be remembered for his enduring love for his family, his kind spirit, and the legacy of faith and perseverance he leaves behind. Though he is no longer with us, his impact will continue to be felt by all who knew and loved him.

David enjoyed serving God in different ways. He served as a student leader at New Life Church as a middle school boys small group leader and served on Sundays with the parking team for years. He’s also had the joy and privilege of leading other small groups and teaching God’s Word. David had a strong trust and faith in God for His provision and was known for his simple child-like faith and love for his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.

A celebration of David’s life is scheduled at New Life Church in Canton, GA, on March 21st, at 2 pm. David was an avid Star Wars fan and his favorite color was red. Guests are invited to wear red or a Star Wars themed shirt in his honor. If anyone would like to share favorite stories of David, please email cjpearce70@yahoo.com.

In lieu of flowers, friends have established a GoFundMe account to support his wife and daughters with medical expenses and other costs incurred during his battle with cancer over the past several months.
