Jimmy West

November 25, 1932 — June 10, 2017

Mr. Jimmy Lewis West, 84, of Canton, GA passed away Saturday June 10, 2017 following an extended illness.

Mr. West was born November 25, 1932 in Lawrenceville, GA to the late Daniel West and Ora Griffith West.  He was preceded in death by wife Peggy West, daughter Sharon Elrod, son Michael West, brothers J.D. West, Jack West, and sister Wylena Brown.

Mr. West is survived by his Daughters and son-in-laws Debra West Garrett of Canton, GA, Ann West Burge and husband Chuck of Buford, GA, Sandra West Pieper and husband Ron of Dacula, GA, Jill West Farmer and husband Kevin of Buford, GA.  Step children Chris Dunn of Canton, GA, Cheryl Padgett of Cartersville, GA and Cindy Key of Virginia. Sisters Johnnie Glaze of Cumming, GA, Helen Chapman of Daytona Beach, FL, Deanna Pruitt of Buford, GA and several loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. West was retired from General Motors Doraville Plant.  After retiring from General Motors, he worked at H&H auto sales in Canton, GA where he was able to continue his love of mechanics.  He was a huge Georgia Bulldog fan.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday June 13,2017 in the chapel of Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park.  Interment to follow the service at Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Monday June 12, 2017 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park.
