Hector Mendez-Simon, 48 of Canton, GA passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2020 from Canton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Canton Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Hector was born in Guatemala and was loved by all who knew him. Hector is survived by his father, Regino Alfonzo Mendez-Gabriel; mother, Concepcion Simon-Perez; children, Sergio Mendez-Laynez, Dilma Mendez-Laynez, Silvia Mendez-Laynez, Lesbie Mendez-Laynez, Hedy Mendez-Laynez; brother, Telesforo Mendez-Simon; sisters, Ofelia Mendez-Simon, Roselia Mendez-Simon, Elubia Mendez-Simon.
