Greg "Doc" Dockery, 52, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away on November 10, 2023. He was born on October 23, 1971, in Atlanta, GA. Greg was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.
 
Greg had a vibrant and playful personality. He was known for his comedic nature and always had a joke up his sleeve. There was never a dull moment when Greg was around. As a child, he even worked as a child actor in several commercials. Greg was also a sports enthusiast, having played baseball in grade school, football in high school, and softball throughout his adult life. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking, and hiking. Taking his dogs to the park was one of his favorite pastimes. 
 
In addition to his sense of humor and athleticism, Greg had a kind and helpful nature. He was always willing to lend a hand and assist others with yard work and woodworking projects. He had a passion for building things and enjoyed the satisfaction of creating something with his own hands. Greg also had a musical talent and loved to sing and play the guitar. He constantly sought to learn the latest hits and his performances were always amazing to hear.
 
Family and friends meant the world to Greg, and he cherished his daughter Taylor as well as her mother Tara Dockery above all else. He is survived by Taylor Amanda Dockery, his loving daughter, as well as his mother Carol Dockery. Greg also leaves behind his sisters Angela Darlene Keyser (Jody), Tena Margaret Holbrooks, and Carolyn Beth Selby, along with several nephews and nieces including Joe, David, Tommy, Thomas, Christy, Bo, Megan, Marissa, Hunter, Steven, and Tyler. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Lester Dockery.
 
Greg began his career in the hospitality business in 1993 and worked for several restaurants, including TGI Fridays and Wild Wing Cafe. He was dedicated to providing excellent service to his customers throughout his career.
 
Greg's place of worship was Macedonia United Methodist Church, which he considered his spiritual home while growing up.
 
A viewing will be held on Tuesday November 14th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by services at 2:30 PM at Macedonia United Methodist Church, located at 2547 Holbrook Campground Rd. Alpharetta, GA 30004.
