Gail William Hawk, 87 of Ball Ground, Georgia, husband of Patricia Hawk, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Marietta, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family.

Gail William Hawk was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 26, 1937—the son of William and Sophie Hawk who lived on a farm in Elgin, Nebraska.

He is predeceased by his parents, brother Eddie, and three sisters, Gladys, Ruth and Wilma.

He graduated from Tilden, Nebraska in 1957. He then joined the United States Air Force in 1959 and served 8 years with the Air Force. He then retired from the Air Force in 1967 and started working for Rockwell.

On April 28, 1962, Gail was united in marriage to Patricia Krumm, where they were stationed at Lockbourne Air Force Base in Ohio. They were then stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, & Joplin, Missouri. He was then sent to Vietnam for 6 months.

In 1983 Rockwell moved from Ohio to Duluth, Georgia and we settled in Cumming, Georgia. Gail retired from Boeing in 2001 and was employed with them for 32 years.

Gail shared his Life with Pat of over 63 years. They have five children, sons, Jeff (Susie), Wesley (Ann), Janice (Glenn), Michelle (Michael), Kevin (Kristi), twelve grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Gail loved and studied the Bible constantly. He knew that his sins were forgiven, that he was bought with the blood of Jesus Christ, and that he would live with his Savior forevermore in Heaven.

Gail and Pat accepted Christ as their personal savior on October 17,2010 , and was immersed into baptism with the Lord in the First Christian Church in Jasper. He and Pat found Antioch Christian Church and fell in love with it and on September 8th, 2014 became members.

Gail’s hobbies were working in his yard with loads of different flower’s he planted. He also loved his Fenton Art Glass which he collected over the years. He also helped out with the Boy Scouts when Kevin his son, was a scout there and earned the Eagle Scout award. They both also collected scout patches at scout arena events.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Antioch Christian Church. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Church, 3595 Sugar Pike Road, Canton, Georgia 30115. A burial will be held at a later date at Georgia National Cemtery.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested that donations be made to Antioch Christian Church  at antiochcanton.org
