Ethel Palladino, 96of Birmingham, AL, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Somerby St. Vincent Assisted Living in Birmingham, AL.
Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Canton Funeral Home.
Ethel was known for her fiery spirit, sense of humor, creative and artistic talents, and the ability to turn a phrase or belt out a witty one-liner! She was a prolific writer on faith, family and culture, which was only matched by a voracious reading appetite that informed those topics. Her Catholic faith was a constant source of inspiration and guidance, especially during times of trial and suffering which never diminished her joy.
Ethel will always be remembered as a woman who spoke her mind, loved her family deeply, and embraced life to the fullest.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Palladino. She is survived by sons, Mike Palladino (LeeAnn), Ed Palladino (Jill), Dave Palladino (Beatriz); daughters, Cathy Burns (Bob), Gina Quirk (Bill), Patti Connolly; 15 grandchildren and 11great grandchildren also survive.
Due to COVID-19 facial coverings are suggested and crowd size is limited due to social distancing.
