Born in Brooklyn, New York he was the oldest of two children born during the Depression to Edward Meehan and Gertrude Walsh. His younger sister Jacquelyn Meehan Walsh predeceased him 11 years prior. During his last years, his love of the Lord and his faith pressed on his heart to share with all he met.
