We remember and celebrate the life and spirit of Donald EugeneWilliams, who left us to be with Godon Sunday afternoon, April 25th,2021. Known to all as Don, he was born on March 10, 1951 in Columbia,South Carolina to Donna and Fraser Williams, Sr. Those fortunate tohave known Don are no doubt familiar with his trademark "Howdy"greeting. Whether over the phone or in person, one could always counton this warm and inviting start to a conversation. However, hisdependably cordial nature was just one of Dons countless endearingqualities. His quick-witted and relatable sense of humor brought joyto so many and offered comfort in times of uncertainty or sorrow. Hisselflessness and giving nature benefited anyone in need, as evidencedby his charitable involvement with the VFW and his efforts to build anaddition onto their house to accommodate his wife, Debbies,grandmother. Dons warm and welcoming spirit benefited all whocrossed his path, from close family to passing acquaintances. He wasa devoted son, a dependable brother, a supportive partner, a givingfather and a loyal friend. So, while we remember and celebrate themany ways Don touched our lives and made the world a better place tobe, all who knew him look forward to the day were once again greetedwith that familiar and comforting "Howdy." Don is remembered fondly and missed dearly by all, including hisimmediate family: his wife Debbie, his brothers Walter and Fraser, andhis son Joe. Memorial services will be heldon Wednesday, April 28that Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park. Visitation: 11:00am - 1:30pm. Service:2:00pm.
