Daniel Hinman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Hinman, who left us on February 20^th 2024. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and cherished grandfather.

Born on May 3, 1954 in Petersburg, VA, Dan was the child of Nelson and Jewell Hinman. He served the Navy for 28 years – nine years of active duty and an additional 28 years in civil service. He was respected for his hard work, dedication, and expertise.

Dan met the love of his life, Deb Hinman, and they were married for 47 years. They were blessed with 3 children. Dan was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a man of integrity, always putting his family’s needs above his own.

Dan had a love for gardening and enjoyed being outside in his free time. He was known for his infectious laughter, his kind heart, and his willingness to help others.

He is survived by his wife Deb Hinman, his children Kristina Dawson, Travis Hinman, DeEtte Story, his siblings Sharon Hilderbrant, Cheryl Bickham, Rebecca Edwards, Timothy Hinman, and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Northside Hospital Foundation in Canton, GA. Dan will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
