Brendan Hayes

Brendan Hayes, 81, of Galway, Ireland passed away on Saturday, May 23rd at his home in Canton, Georgia.

Visitation will be from 11-2pm on Saturday, May 30th, 2020 at Canton Funeral Home 10655 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, Georgia 30115.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 1st at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Roswell, Georgia with Father Timothy Hepburn officiating.  However, only family can attend the church service due to Covid-19.

Brendan Hayes was born in Glin County Limerick, Ireland to Robert and Josephine Hayes on January 14, 1939.  He attended school in Galway, Ireland.  He married Mary Hayes on February 16, 1963 in Galway, Ireland.  He graduated from Manchester College of Technology studying Textile Chemistry.  He worked in Textiles for many years before advancing into the golf industry.  His career in Golf consisted of working for Club Car, running his own Golf Newspaper, and planning Golf trips. He was a member of Woodmont Golf and Country Club. He was an avid golfer yet second only to his love for Manchester United Soccer.

Brendan is preceded in death by his son, Bobby Hayes, his parents, Robert and Josephine Hayes, his brothers, Cyril and Joe Hayes, and his sister, Teresa Holian.

Brendan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Hayes, his children, David (Connie) Hayes, Carol (Steve)Ference, Colleen (Brandt) Winslette, Suzanna (Ken) Lyle, his sisters, Eleanor Horton, Maura Hayes, Anne Haverty, his grandchildren, Patrick Hayes, Natalie Hayes, Josie Hayes, Brooke Ference, Jake Ference, Kathleen Winslette, Walker Winslette, Olivia Winslette, Mary Kate Hayes, and Sara Anne Hayes.
