Our family is heartbroken to inform you that BARBARA ANN GRIFFITH TEMPLETON, 80 years old, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in Canton, GA, after a long battle from a mini-stroke and resulting decline from vascular dementia. Barbara was born on August 31, 1944, in Atlanta, GA to Hayne Turner Griffith and Doris Lucretia Redmond Griffith, both deceased. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Billy Jack Templeton, her daughter from a previous marriage, Tina Robin Gillman Darnell and her husband, Randy Darnell, her grandsons Matthew Grayson Darnell and his fianc Jessica Fedak, Zachary Lawson Darnell and his wife Cameron Pressley, her granddaughter Shelby Darnell Waver and her husband Nick Waver, and Barbaras four great grandchildren from Zachary and Cameron: Kate, Case, Lathem, and Jacob Darnell,. Barbara retired from Bell South Telephone Company in 1999. She was a highly perceptive, intuitive, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother with strong intellectual interest in Christianity, psychology, and genealogy. She once served as a counselor at Mount Paran Church in Atlanta, GA and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestown Society and other genealogical societies. Viewing will be held at 10:00am and funeral at 11:00am from Canton Funeral Home, 10655 East Cherokee Drive, Canton, GA 30115 on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
