Anita Sue “Susie” Gidman,

Susie was born in Lebanon, Indiana to Wendell and Virginia Lane on 8/4/1954. In her formative years she enjoyed growing up and working on her parents’ farm. Her love for the outdoors never wained, as gardening was one of her favorite activities for most of her life. She loved cooking, reading, and had a real passion for music and singing. Susie was outspoken and honest with everyone she encountered. She appreciated good conversation with good people that produced real substance, and could talk for hours on end covering nearly any subject with poise and insight. She was involved with the Christian Church all of her life. She was always impressed by younger people who expressed compassion and kindness toward those who needed a helping hand. She was strong, independently minded, quick witted, funny, and caring. She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Gidman, whom she was married to for 38 years, and her brother, Randy. Susie passed peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on 9/6/26. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses. Christopher and his wife Alexa, Stacia and her husband J.D., and Andrew his wife Joanne. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Gavin, Caitlyn, Carter, and Lawson.

Her viewing and services are set for 12 p.m. on Saturday, 9/12/26 at Canton Funeral Home and Cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park
