Andrew Frederick Craig, 54, lovingly known as Andy, departed this life on Sunday, February 1, 2026. He was born on March 24, 1971, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Carole Silvester and Philip Van Cleave Craig. He was the fourth of eight children and spent his early years in Utah, Florida, and Georgia, where he lived most of his life in and around Cherokee County, currently of Canton, Georgia.
Andy was known for his brilliant mind, generous heart, and unforgettable sense of humor. A gifted problem-solver, he could fix almost anything electrical or computer-related and was always willing to help, teach, or lend a hand.
He earned his degree at Southern Poly Tech (now KSU) was active in the Atlanta Computer Club and found great joy in learning, technology, and supporting others. He worked for UPS for over 20 years.
Andy had many passions, including aviation, photography, SCUBA diving, geocaching, gaming, ham radio(KJ4SJJ General Class), and exploring North Georgia. He loved animals—especially cats—and delighted in laughter, jokes, and shared experiences with friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Carole; his sisters: Marigold Hibbert, Ruth (Shigeo) Koguchi and brothers: David (Marge), Nick, Gordon, and Paul (Bekalyn) Craig, , along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply. Andy's kindness, loyalty, and wicked sense of humor made life brighter and easier for everyone who knew him.
A Celebration of Life for Andy Craig will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3459 E Cherokee Dr, Canton, GA 30115.
The celebration service will be followed by interment at Canton Macedonian Memorial Gardens, 10655 E Cherokee Dr, Canton, GA 30115.
All are welcome to attend.
